About Michael
Michael L. Sheesley has practiced law in the U.S. Virgin Islands since 2005. His practice spans civil litigation, criminal defense, and real estate and transactional matters, in both the territorial and federal courts.
Michael grew up outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in Aliquippa. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in biomedical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, with a concentration in biomechanics and artificial-organ development and a minor in Administration of Justice, followed by his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he concentrated in intellectual property. He moved to St. Thomas in 2005 and has practiced there since.

Personal Interests
Outside the practice, Michael is an ultra-marathon runner who has completed some of the world's most demanding multi-day, self-supported desert races. He is a lifelong animal lover and a former board member of the St. Thomas Humane Society.
